The Silverwood Griddle is made with our silver anodised Aluminium plate which has excellent heat distribution. From the cooker hob plate, heat will travel rapidly to the whole of the griddle. The base is smooth, flat and is ideal for use on ceramic, halogen and Aga cookers as well as gas and electric hobs (but sadly not induction). The handle is made from stainless steel and is "stay cool". Attached to the handle is a moveable safety ring which retains the handle in its correct position in use but which allows it to fold down for storage.
The griddle can be used for scotch pancakes, scones, flapjacks, pancakes, crepes etc. as well as burgers, sausages, bacon, eggs, and other breakfast food. Can also be used on a barbecue to either keep food hot or to cook eggs etc.
The Silverwood Griddle is superior to cast iron ones which are much heavier, do not spread heat as well, can rust.
